Resumo: Hannah Arendt aludiu no prólogo de ‘A condição humana’ à ficção científica como gênero literário que não teria recebido a devida atenção em suas potencialidades políticas. É intenção deste artigo explorar este insight, sobretudo tendo em conta a preocupação da autora com o progressivo distanciamento entre o discurso comum – veículo de toda a política – e a linguagem cada vez mais matematizada da ciência moderna.
Abstract: Hannah Arendt alluded to in the prologue of ‘The Human Condition’ to science fiction as a literary genre that had not received due attention in its political potential. It is the aim of this article to explore this insight, particularly given the concern of the author with the progressive estrangement between the common speech – vehicle of all politics – and increasingly mathematized language of modern science.
